This was the first full week without my closest co-worker, Tom. Tom left the company for to pursue an amazing opportunity for himself and his own company. I'm missing him big time. He was the one person there who was fluent in my language, and I was the one person who was fluent in his. Now it's all on me to teach others our dream. The work has begun.
Also today I found out that one of our most important coaches is leaving the ski team to coach for Vail. I'm of course absolutely happy for him to have such a fun adventure ahead of him, but also... goddamnit, I guess it's time to step up and play a more active role on the team to help fill the tremendous gulf he's leaving behind.
